Using music to promote new technology..

In the last few weeks Google and Microsoft have successfully partnered with popular bands to promote their new technology.

Google partnered with Arcade Fire to create an interactive music video for the song "We Used To Wait" The personalised online experience (The Wilderness Downtown) is very unique, innovative and emotive and consequently went viral instantly - proving to be a really successful way to show off the capabilities of HTML5 with Google's Chrome browser.

Similarly this week the Gorillaz helped launch Microsoft's Beta version of Internet Explorer 9. Microsoft approached Gorillaz and asked them to develop an online experience that would showcase the potential of the Web when viewed through Internet Explorer 9 Beta. It was a typically humorous, slightly dark Gorillaz creation with cartoon member Murdoc showing off his 'Microsoft employee of the month' status and discussing the benefits of the browser with a geeky cartoon character, 'Mike O'Soft.'

AVATAR. Setting the bar high for innovation and new technology in film...

Cameron utilized a new generationstereoscopic cameras. In other words, strapped two cameras together providing a different perspective on a scene which would mimic how the human eye perceives the world in three dimensions. mailonline.co.uk
Unfortunately Avatar's script is weak and does not match the ingenuity of this technology and production. The hollywood cliches do however appeal to the masses and have resulted in a box office hit. It is a business after all.

EVERYDAY CREATIVITY

We all marvel at other people's artistic achievements and ingenuity. But most of us fail to nurture our inner innovator. Start living creatively and reap the benefits—including fewer relationship headaches and more fulfilling workdays.
